Simply Polished — SMS Terms

What you're signing up for

When you book a cleaning or sign up through the SMS consent page, you'll receive transactional SMS messages from Simply Polished. We only send SMS that supports an active service relationship — we don't do mass marketing blasts.

You'll receive roughly 4 messages per job, including:

  • Booking confirmation — sent immediately after a job is placed.
  • 24-hour reminder — sent the day before your scheduled visit.
  • Payment receipt — sent when a payment posts to your invoice.
  • Review ask — sent once after the job completes.

We send operational SMS from an automation-only phone number. If you want to have an actual conversation, text or call Kaitlyn's published Google Voice line at (317) 762-5977 — that's the real human, not a bot.

Standard message and data rates apply

Your mobile carrier may charge you for sending and receiving text messages. Simply Polished does not charge you for the SMS themselves. Check with your carrier if you're unsure about your plan.

How to opt out

You have the right to revoke consent at any time. The options below are enumerated under the FCC's 2024 TCPA rules, which accept any reasonable method of revocation.

  • Reply STOP to any SMS we send. We'll confirm with a single final message and stop sending to that number. You can also reply END, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE — all work.
  • Reply HELP for a help message with our business name and this URL.
  • Change your mind in-app: visit your account preferences or the SMS consent page and toggle the SMS channel off. Effective immediately.
  • Contact us: text or call (317) 762-5977 and say "stop SMS." We'll honor the request within two business days.

Revoking consent does not cancel your bookings, invoices, or account. Those continue as normal — you'll just receive communications by email instead.

Double opt-in

If you sign up for SMS through our /consent page, we'll send a confirmation text to verify your number. You must reply YES to finish opting in. This is how we protect you (and us) against spoofed sign-ups using phone numbers you don't control.

Numbers that never confirm stay in PENDING state for 7 days and then auto-expire — we don't keep phone numbers indefinitely without consent.

What we track (TCPA audit trail)

Per TCPA recordkeeping requirements, we retain:

  • Your phone number.
  • The source of your consent (booking form, SMS consent page, etc.).
  • The timestamp consent was given and confirmed.
  • Every SMS we've sent to you, when it was sent, and whether it was delivered.
  • Every STOP/HELP reply you've sent us.

These records are retained for 365 days (one year, which exceeds the FCC's current guidance). After that, the records are pruned by our daily retention sweep. For full detail, see our Privacy Policy.

What we don't do

  • No marketing blasts. We don't sell, advertise, or cross-promote via SMS. Every message you receive is tied to an active booking or service relationship.
  • No selling your number. We never share your phone number with third parties for marketing. Twilio handles the wire-level sending but does not receive your number for any purpose other than delivery.
  • No premium-rate numbers. Simply Polished will never ask you to text a short code or a premium number. All outbound SMS comes from a standard 10-digit long-code number.

If a message looks suspicious

We never ask for passwords, payment information, or sensitive details via SMS. If you receive a message claiming to be from Simply Polished that asks for any of these, it's not us. Text or call (317) 762-5977 immediately to verify.

Changes to these terms

We may update these SMS terms from time to time. The version and effective date at the top of this document will change, and signed-in users will see a re-consent prompt the next time they sign in.
